Especially for Museumnacht, they are blending opera and electronic beats into a surprising and immersive club experience. Expect boundary-pushing DJ sets where classical sounds and modern rhythms meet on the dance floor.

Every spring, Studio15 hosts Battle of the East! The ultimate dance battle of the Eastern Netherlands! Teams and duos go head-to-head to compete for the prize! During Museumnacht, we’re giving you a little taste of the vibe and community spirit that makes Battle of the East so awesome. During this mini battle, you’ll challenge each other to show off your best moves and style. Whether it’s all-style, old-school breakdance, prime disco, or K-pop moves, you can battle in any style. It’s all about energy, improvisation, and shining together on the dance floor. There’s even a small prize for the winner!

Armed with a clear instruction flyer, children go on a voyage of discovery through the various rooms, answering questions along the way. Together, the answers form an eight-letter word. Before they start, they watch a short introductory video that draws them straight into the story.

The installation guides you through the experience step by step. You begin in a quiet space before entering the central area, where the sculptures invite you to experience the interplay between body and technology through touch. Afterwards, there is space to reflect on your experience before continuing with Museumnacht.

Laura A Dima starts from the idea that our bodies are constantly communicating with the world around us, often without us being aware of it. By placing touch at the heart of the interaction with digital technology, she encourages you to consider how people, technology, and their environment influence one another.

Design a character or color in an existing one, and watch as we use AI to transform it into a dancing animation. Your swinging creation will be visible on the big screen alongside all its friends immediately.

The exhibition shows what home looks like in different cultures, from differences in the kitchen and garden to the bathroom. During Museumnacht, we bring this experience to life. Snacks and scents bring the stories to life and add an extra layer to the experience.

This musician collective is part of the reviving jam scene in Enschede and the Eastern Netherlands. They organize jam sessions at a variety of locations, such as cafés, music venues, creative hubs, studio spaces, and parks. Following last year's huge success, we have invited them back to host a session for Museum Night. This time with more room for everyone who wants to join in. Instruments are provided, so come by, enjoy, and participate!

Through a mix of different dance styles, they showcase the possibilities on the dance floor: movement, creativity, and expression. A short, high-energy performance that demonstrates just how diverse dance can be. Come watch and discover what dance can communicate without saying a single word.

Kyra has just moved to a new city because of her father's job. Grandpa helped with the move and is heading back home, leaving Kyra alone among the boxes. Although she is excited, it also feels a bit daunting. After all, how do you make a new house truly feel like home? Suddenly, she hears a strange noise. She discovers an old, brown suitcase she has never seen before. When she opens it, it turns out to be full of surprises: items, memories, and playful elements that come to life. She then realizes that Grandpa left the suitcase behind to help her. As Kyra unpacks the suitcase, she takes the audience along on her journey of discovery, step by step. Slowly, her feelings shift, and the house begins to feel more and more like home.

Grandpa's Suitcase is a cheerful, visual performance about moving house and learning to feel at home in a new place. With a colorful performance style, physical comedy, and magical elements, the audience is drawn into Kyra’s world.

Rodenburg has been performing since he was 9 years old, initially with his parents and now with his own bands. His work is often infused with classic jazz and leans into the theatrical. Borkens also started making music at a young age and has a penchant for the 80s, with its synthesizers and signature sound. Rodenburg and Borkens experiment with the fringes where their musical interests overlap and would love to get you dancing.

Every show is an interdisciplinary experiment featuring music that is both philosophical and danceable, alienating yet relatable, with the band guided by their motto: ‘Only one day is your last, let that one rot and seize the rest.’

Participants will learn from Nela how to build body-like forms out of aluminum foil by cutting, folding, and shaping, resulting in unexpected figures.

You can carry your newly scored book swap treasures in a special tote bag that you can also customize with a unique print. Diana Condoros will show you how screen printing works. She’ll help you choose from a selection of cool designs, and together you’ll apply the print to your bag. You can also bring along a piece of clothing that deserves a second life! Print it and spend the rest of the evening showing off your one-of-a-kind textile piece.

In every room, guides are available to tell you more and answer all your questions.

Discover the history of the Jewish quarter around the Synagogue. A film of approximately 30 minutes will be shown continuously in the Banquet Hall on the first floor. In addition, several Parochets (Torah ark curtains) are on display in poster format. A special detail: the very first service after the Second World War took place in this Banquet Hall.

As the story unfolds live, you help build that shared home. Create a drawing, have it scanned instantly, and watch as your idea becomes part of the story and comes to life in the animations. Together with other visitors, you shape a world that continues to change with every new choice.

With ZoöpLab, Tetem introduces you to the Zoöp philosophy in an interactive way. Together with robot inventor Robin, you will discover how your choices impact the world we share with all the life around us.

Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or have been creative for a while, everyone is welcome to join. In a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, you will be introduced to various painting techniques and materials. Liezette will guide you step-by-step and encourage you to experiment and bring your own ideas to life. It is not just about technique, but also about fun, discovery, and creativity. This workshop offers a great glimpse into Kaliber's painting courses and shows how you can further develop your artistic skills. Drop by whenever it suits you, try it out for yourself, and get inspired!

In the impressive setting of the Grote Kerk, the East Netherlands Symphony Orchestra will perform the final work by Sergei Rachmaninoff: his Symphonic Dances. Don't expect dusty classical music; instead, look forward to a sizzling cocktail of driving rhythms, lush melodies, and a generous dose of drama and mystery.

Short on time during Museum Night? No problem. We’ve broken this masterpiece down into four 20-minute sessions. It’s the perfect energetic pit stop for your cultural route!

Before the music begins, conductor Jeppe Moulijn will take the stage. In a short mini-introduction, you’ll hear the stories and hidden secrets behind the notes. From Rachmaninoff’s deep homesickness and ghostly waltzes to his musical battle with death, the conductor provides the guide you need before the orchestra sweeps you away in an overwhelming wall of sound.

Step inside, let the incredible acoustics of the Grote Kerk carry you away for twenty minutes, and feel the pure energy of Rachmaninoff!

Ponytrap shows how video clips can evolve into music. During Museumnacht, you can attend short performances by Ponytrap. Robots, viola, and video sequencing come together in a live performance.

Between performances, you will have the chance to create beats with the robots yourself. You read that right: it’s interactive! Choose your favorite videos and combine visuals, music, and robots into your own composition.

During Museum Night, the choir will perform a short set filled with recognizable music and the joy of singing. With their infectious energy and love for music, they bring a unique atmosphere to every performance. From sensitive ballads to upbeat hits, Speechless demonstrates the power of singing together. Their different voices complement one another, creating a warm and dynamic sound.

We are screening a selection of short films where you will instantly recognize his signature style. From meticulously composed shots and dry humor to stories that balance between the absurd and the touching.
