Who is Alex?

I am an organizer, community builder, and connector who collaborates with all kinds of cultural organizations in Enschede. My whole life, I’ve been drawn to everything that makes life beautiful. I see beauty and art in every corner of life, but my greatest passion always lies in what we can create together: food, music, art, community, and knowledge.

You’ll find me on a daily adventure through life, trying new things and busy with my many hobbies (crocheting, reading, bouldering, cooking, and so much more).

From the moment I arrived in Enschede, culture has been an essential part of my life and has shaped the community I’ve built around me. The communities I’ve cultivated in places like Sickhouse and Tankstation quickly became my second home and exposed me to so much more of the unique culture this city has to offer.

During my time in Enschede, I’ve become involved with many different cultural organizations, festivals, and community spaces. I’ve had the chance to meet amazing people and see firsthand how important cultural organizations are. There are so many unique spots, passionate people, and creative initiatives all over the city—each with its own story and community. These places continue to inspire me, and being an ambassador for Museumnacht means I get the chance to share these places and experiences that have meant so much to me, and to invite you to join me in discovering what makes this city so special.
