Who is Donya?

My name is Donya Harbaoui, I am 22 years old, and I am a third-year Creative Business student at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. I describe myself as a true creative: someone who loves discovering new ideas, connecting with people, and is always looking for inspiration. I am social, energetic, and warm-hearted. I am also musical and believe that there is something beautiful or meaningful to be found in everything, if you are open to it.

Lately, I have become increasingly involved in Enschede's cultural sector. What appeals to me so much about it is how culture brings people together, offers new perspectives, and provides space for creativity. Every time, I discover how much talent, how many stories, and what unique places our city has to offer.

This year, I am proud to be an ambassador for Museumnacht Enschede. I won't soon forget my first visit to Museumnacht. I was genuinely amazed by everything Enschede has to offer. The unique combination of art, culture, history, music, and experience left a deep impression on me. It felt like I was getting to know my own city in a completely new way.

What makes Museumnacht so special to me is that it invites people to explore, wonder, and be inspired. It shows that culture is accessible, surprising, and vibrant. That is why I wanted to become an ambassador: to get others excited and let them experience how special this evening is. I hope that even more people will let themselves be surprised by the creativity, stories, and hidden gems that Enschede has to offer, just as I have experienced myself.
